Update

The file folders placed under the hives and removed 24 hours later showed low varroa (have saved the folders on their cookie sheets for the YBeek's sharp eyes; the red hive now has an even pattern of debris fall across the frames, and 50 or so bees out fanning yesterday; the yellow hive had a very crowded entrance. Goldenrod is now in bloom.

re importation of Chinese honey. If pets died from food manufactured in North America but adulterated by an ingredient from China, and more recently Chinese babies died from adulterated milk, honey is a no-brainer to corrupt. Never buy supermarket honey!
