Sugar migration
The aftermath of even the most careful Christmas-cookie creation is stickiness on surfaces we never knew we touched; icing and even granulated sugar seems to migrate spontaneously, perhaps through vapour--steam--humidity. The same's true of processing honey--just now I used the stepladder wiped down on Monday afternoon--and--oooh, a little bit sticky, so... wiped it down again. By contrast, the honey-super frames stacked in the mud-room, having been licked by 60,000 or so bees on Monday and Tuesday, are certified (by this anti-sticky fanatic) sticky-free. The extraction equipment was washed in the shower on Monday afternoon and dried in the sun on Tuesday, is now in the barn; today perhaps I will put it out in front of the hives to be checked over. And, after that, induce the 60,000 bees into the kitchen?
